Fire panel and inspection
The committee found the December 24, 2007 report from Royal City Fire Supplies Limited did not set out specific costs for the items. There is concern about the quality of the work that was done by the employees. Gary will look into another company, check the companies licensed at New Westminster City Hall, to check the cost of the specific items listed in the report. Melinda is to type and compile a list for the new company to quote on
Heating
The last heating report is to be found by Angela and to be reviewed by Ty and Gary. Quadra Heating and Plumbing is to be contacted in late June to flush the corrosion from the pipes in the system and to evaluate what may need to be done to make the system more efficient for next winter. The company will check the flow of water, 609 main floor hallway shut off valve, 609 second floor hallway shut off valve, and look at what the system in each house can accommodate. This may mean capping off the third floors and installing electric heat
Plumbing
Gary mentioned since Quadra was coming in to look at heating, there are plumbing issues as well
- 609 basement toilet needs to be replaced as it's cracked
- 609 main floor toilet needs replacing; 609 drain by lathe is dripping needs to be stopped
- Tap in front yard needs to be added suggested hose bib in corner of house 609
Wood garage
The committee is to get comments from coop members. The consensus is the wood garage should be torn down. Price to be quoted from Jeff and others. Gary wants to dig out the side of the garage for another look
Line of credit
A brief mention was to establish a $100,000 line of credit to accommodate efficient completion of maintenance tasks with appropriate approval from the house members
Doors
Quotes on basement doors for 607 and 609 and the stone garage are to be looked into. Bob the builder is very busy these days. Possible to source other tradesmen/women for quotes
Floors
607 living room, 607 101 (Angela's room) and 607 301 (Erfan's room) need new flooring. Angela to look at the various options and to cover with bamboo. Jeff to give quote once it is decided on the color of the product
Hobart
Hobart seal and timer to be replaced and to get the wiring diagram for Ty. Angela to arrange
