Finance committee

Current bank balances,

• Chequing ~$5,600
• Plan-24 ~$17,500 (of this ~$9,000 is room deposit)
• March rent not yet deposited but of the ~$10,000 expected this and more has or will be spent, ~$8,500 outstanding cheques, pending emergency plumbing bill payment and heating system costs

Only income source is rooms/membership. Two empty rooms. All members should make the effort in vetting new candidates at dinners so that the membership audition can proceed quickly

Switch Plan-24 to a Business Investor Saving Account

Food waste audit, Andrew will post a plan

Food buyers to curb spending, restrain from buying extras

Food purchase is largest expenditure, curbing our food budget and reducing waste could have impact on our savings

Request to members for suggestions for savings

All maintenance and repairs bills including paint, hardware, tools, etc. should be copied with copy given to Ty (who'll do an audit) and original to Angela for reimbursement

Garden committee

Maria has already bought seeds. Plans for garden underway

Housing committee

Few new potential applicants. Please make effort to vet them at meet-the-applicant dinners

Maintenance committee

Alterations, renovations, etc. need to be reviewed by the maintence committee before going ahead

Petty cash report

• Spending is going up. Reminder $30.00 limit
• Please recycle petty cash envelops back to Paola

Announcements

• Rachel is taking on room inspection duties
• Paola's parents are coming. Her mother plans to stay approximately three months from ~July 10th to September 4th. Her Father will only stay about three weeks
• Heidi's boyfriend Chris will be at the coop for the month of April
• Angela will be posting spring cleanup list. Spring cleanup plans TBA but likely second week May
• Liv is planning a coop photo binder
